Marion Geissinger holds a Masters degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in guitar performance. While studying under the direction of Giovanni DeChiaro, she held the position of graduate teaching assistant at USM, as well as adjunct guitar instructor at William Carey College in Hattiesburg.

In March, 1983, Ms. Geissinger performed in the young artists series at the Spanish Institute and at the College of St. Elizabeth in New York, NY. These concerts were sponsored by Aranquez Strings. Ms. Geissinger has performed numerous recitals in concert series throughout Mississippi, including performances at the "Wednesdays at St. Andrews" series in Jackson, the Lauren Rogers Museum in Laurel, William Carey College and USM in Hattiesburg, and Hinds Community College in Raymond. In recent years, she has played at receptions and dinners that have honored such as President George H. W. Bush and his wife and the top 100 Businesswomen of Mississippi hosted by the Mississippi Business Journal

Upon graduation from USM, Ms. Geissinger joined the faculty at Hinds Community College where she developed a thriving guitar program as well as taught music appreciation. She has held adjunct positions at Mississippi College in Clinton and at Millsaps College in Jackson. She currently teaches at her home studio, Geissinger School of Music.
